Flemish choreographer and artist Jan Fabre creates a radical
body theatre that is both excessive and poetic. Valeria Garré
moves sensuously and powerfully, captivating her audience
with her attacking presence and virtuosity: pitiless, shocking
and moving all at the same time.
Jan
Fabre (B)
during the past twenty years of creativity, the visual and
theatrical artist Jan Fabre has impressed an indelible stamp
on contemporary theatre and dance practice. The successful
all-round-artist is choreographer, regisseur, visual artist
and dramatist. He started his international career in Antwerpen
where he was born (1958), studied and where he still works
with his company Troubleyn. His productions have been presented
all over the world. William Forsythe invited him to work with
the Ballett Frankfurt. His visual art works were presented
in the most important galleries of modern art.
Valeria
Garré (ARG)
studied classical and modern dance in Argentinia and took
classes by several international teachers. She worked for
different contemporary dance companies before she came to
Brüssel this year. It
is her first collaboration with Jan Fabre.
