La Ribot combines elements of dance, theatre, performance and the fine arts in curious scenes. An acclaimed performance which will be interpreted and premiered in Cologne by the English dance star Anna Williams. "La Ribot's metaphors are like humorously profound sparks of esprit that illuminate the connections between art production and its reception." FAZ

"Mas distinguidas with Anna Williams " is part of my current 'detached body' project, which includes five different works in five different medias, which I will present during the season 2002 - 2003. Other elements of this project include a live performance entitled Panoramix, a video installation exhibition entitled Take Off, a book and a film, both on the Distinguished pieces. In 1993 I started a project called distinguished pièces with the aim to produce, over time, one hundred 'distinguished pieces' in my life. Actually there are until now, three series: " 13 Piezas Distinguidas " from 1993/94, " Mas Distinguidas." from 1997, and " Still distinguished" from 2000; including 34 distinguished pieces in total. During these ten years the distinguished pieces have been presented in the form of short solos of between 30 seconds and 7 minutes, conceived and performed by myself. And as any other "piece of art" they are sold to a 'distinguished proprietor' whose name always appears beside the title of their piece, and who are invite to attend the presentation of their piece where else in the world. "Mas distinguidas with Anna Williams" is a very important part in my 'detached body' project and is, as well, the first time that a distinguished piece exists as a concept on/in another body.
