Temperaments of contemporary dance

HEISS introduces to some of the newest tendencies that can be found in contemporary European dance. The series is inspired by Le Vif du Sujet, a project originating from the Avignon Festival, that enables chosen interpreters to work on a solo with the choreographer of their choice. HEISS presents outstanding solo/duo productions that deal with topics such as society and art in an entertaining and critical way, while also seeking to create a discourse with a present or fictive partner. Besides internationally renowned artists, young and new ones have played an important role in developing the program. The premiere that is being produced by HEISS represents an invitation to a very special dancer to develop a solo with a choreographer of her choice. She chose a dynamic constellation that is sure to bring a fresh wind to the dance scene.
Each 'artistic team' has a different temperament and a different way of thinking and working, which makes it even more exciting to experience the series. We would like to invite you to join us so we can welcome you in the Halle Kalk.
