Can you sit on steam, how comfortable is water and how maleable is ice?
As a part of the d·a·m·p·f festival students of the Köln International School of Design/KISD have produced a nebulous place to get some cool relaxation – the d·a·m·p·f Bar Kalk.
Inside of and in front of the legendary buildings of the Halle Kalk there is a meeting point for visitors and performers. Guests can savor unconventional service and memorable events in the d·a·m·p·f Bar Kalk daily from 5 p.m. on except Mondays.

The d·a·m·p·f Bar Kalk, a place that is ephemeral in form as in service, befitting its timed nature, forms a framework for all of the events and performances that will take place during the festival. For two weeks the outside and foyer area of the Halle Kalk will become a meeting place for fans and specialists of contemporary dance as well as for anyone who feels inclined to enjoy the atmosphere and the service of the d·a·m·p·f Bar Kalk. The more raw and industrial ambience around the Halle Kalk will take on a new guise, as a place of relaxation and enjoyment. Besides the bar, a lounge and an outside service area that is bubbling with visual, aural and tangible sensations, the d·a·m·p·f Bar Kalk is the perfect place to prepare, experience and digest the many events going on.

The d·a·m·p·f Bar Kalk gives us an opportunity to create an inimitable place of encounter during the d·a·m·p·f festival.
