The live installation sand table is a part of Meg Stuart´s Highway 101-Projekt dating back to 2000/01. Created around a group of specially chosen performance venues, an ever changing artistic company created movement, sound and video material. In Brussels and Paris she developed the video performance sand table with the fine artist Magali Desbazeille.

sand table is an intelligent game that shows how images evolve and how powerful human imagination is. Body images are projected on a sand covered table. Real dancers manipulate the images by touching the sand. From a height of three meters the audience looks down on a fantastic landscape of bodies mutating into bizarr forms.
